  • “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” Hippocrates

The average American diet consists of too many calories and processed foods creating imbalances within the organ systems of the human body. Food therapy is a powerful modality in TCM it is used to maintain and recreate a healthy balanced environment.

Food therapy utilizes basic foundational theory; yin and yang, taste, energy and movement of food, to bring about homeostasis, reversing the potential damage we as a society have created within our own systems. The human body is a sensitive and resilient design, by allowing the body to heal itself by feeding it foods that will nourish rather tear down we allow for the free flow of Qi enabling the body to regenerate.

It is important to keep in mind no one body is the same and what works for one may not work for another. We, your practitioners at AcuWelllness Group, LLC have studied Chinese theory extensively and understand how to lead you in the direction of health through traditional uses of nutritional therapies.
